Alan N. Carlson, M.D., Professor of Ophthalmology and Chief of the Corneal and Refractive Surgery Service at the Duke Eye Center is treating Jim from Pueblo, Colorado who has severe dry eye symptoms ever since undergoing radial keratotomy surgery in 1995.  He has failed artificial tears, warm compresses, lid hygiene,  topical antibiotics (Azasite), systemic antibiotics (Doxycycline), Restasis, Punctal Plugs, Restasis, and painful Meibomian Gland Probing on 8 separate occasions.  He is interviewed a day after undergoing a much more comfortable LipiFlow treatment.
